from the place where the trucks crawl to sleep and wait for the night
I’ve got to escape
to the river up north that stares out through the eyes of a snake

If I were left up to my own devices I’d probably plant trees every day in the sunlight but instead I work to make money to give to my landlords and bosses who left up to their own devices drain rivers and clearcut the forests and I don’t think I can still swim in the snake, I always wear black cuz this life is a god damn wake
