as wanted to sit and share a meal

and there our friends who were stolen by fire
bullets and alcohol
walked and laughed among us again
grew grey and taught us oh so much more

so when I
say see you there
I mean to see you when we sail beyond
the waves that bring our old gods to their knees (fuck the police)
see you there in that place where no one sleeps outside
unless they are sleeping under stars where they please
yeah I hope to see you there

there the spirits were left in the ground
extraction came right to a halt
the land was given back to the elders
from whom was so violently torn

and our loved ones who’d been locked behind bars
came home to our families
we swore to each other we’d keep ourselves safe
and we swore we would keep ourselves free

so when I say see you there
I mean to see you on the other side of
the flames that burn the castles and estates (fuck the state)
see you there when we take the streets to save our own damn lives
how many more deaths will it take
